With this care module, Viduet allows patients with osteoarthritis to be intensively monitored for weight, hand squeeze strength and symptoms. Since optimal movement patterns play an important role in the treatment of osteoarthritis patients, it is recommended to combine this care module with the Activity Coach care module.
Patients receive a scale linked to Viduet and measure their weight regularly. All these values are forwarded directly to Viduet. In addition, the patient regularly completes a questionnaire to understand the course of the disease. When the patient is on check-up at the hospital or with their physical therapist, the measured hand squeeze force can be recorded in Viduet. A trend in hand squeeze force development can provide valuable insights regarding patient muscle strength.
Viduet makes trends in readings transparent to caregiver and patient. As soon as the readings and/or questionnaires give cause for action, hospital and/or patient will be informed of this immediately in the desired manner. When you choose to deploy the Activity Coach, the patient will track their movement patterns through the smartwatch. Using our specially developed software for this smartwatch, patients will be coached throughout the day to move within the ranges set by their healthcare provider.
This care module can easily be combined with coaching by a physical therapist. In that case, the physical therapist can set the optimal bandwidths and adjust them as needed. Through a smart algorithm, Viduet recognizes when the patient moves out of bandwidth for an extended period of time.
