Medicine Men has been selected as one of the five finalists in the Deloitte Start-Up Innovation Challenge. In this challenge, European start-ups that will have a huge impact on the future of healthcare are being looked at.
A company that thinks exponentially about behavioral change in therapy adherence, medication use and medication addiction is being searched for. Emma offers solutions for medication adherence, patient who do not do enough physical activities and COPD exacerbation detection. It is also possible to connect a smartwatch, a blood pressure monitor and a scale to the Emma platform. Emma is developed in cooperation with patients, their loved ones, doctors, hospitals and medical experts from various international universities.
The finale of the Deloitte Start-Up Innovation Challenge will take place on 17 October 2017. The winner will win a completely paid trip to the Exponential Medicine conference in San Diego and will participate in the MEDx Awards. The winner is also allowed to pitch his/her company to the VvAA, a Dutch organisation that offers financial services to professionials and organisations in healthcare and the winner will receive a “Golden Ticket” for the Rockstart Digital Health accelerator program.
