With this care module, Viduet offers the opportunity for patients with COVID-19 to spend less time in the hospital. When patients are stable enough, home monitoring allows them to go home earlier.
Patients are monitored at home for oxygen saturation, body temperature, respiratory rate and relevant symptoms. If desired, Viduet also offers the ability to monitor patients for glucose day curves. To perform all these measurements, the patient receives Viduet-connected measuring devices. Patients measure at the times requested by their healthcare professionals and easily synchronize their measurements in the Viduet app. In order to monitor on symptoms, the patient completes daily questionnaires.
Once threshold values for symptoms or readings are exceeded, patients and caregivers are immediately alerted in the desired manner. In this way, immediate and appropriate action can be taken as soon as the situation calls for it.
This care module can be used in addition to other COVID-19 care modules. Through this care module, Viduet offers the ability to monitor COVID-19 patients that receive oxygen at home.
Within this care module, patients that receive oxygen at home from Vivisol are monitored by Vivisol’s medical control center. The Vivisol medical control center does not only monitor on COVID-19 related symptoms, but also monitors the patient’s oxygen use. Through questionnaires, patients report their oxygen use in the Viduet app.
Viduet visualizes the trends in oxygen use so that healthcare professionals and patients can monitor it. Insights from these readings can be used by healthcare professionals to optimize the treatment. Changes in oxygen consumption are noted by Vivisol and are compared with measured oxygen saturation values. When thresholds are exceeded, Vivisol contacts the patient’s healthcare professional. In this way, patients receiving oxygen can be monitored safely at home.
Finally, through Viduet’s home monitoring, Vivisol can also remotely support the patient to safely phase out oxygen and/or medication use.
Exercise is an important factor that can influence the disease course of patients with Long COVID. Using the Activity Coach care module, you will ensure that your patient is coached to adopt optimal movement patterns. This way, the patient will be coached to move enough to facilitate the rehabilitation process, without overloading himself.
When you choose to deploy the Activity Coach, the patient will track their movement patterns through the smartwatch. Using our specially developed software for this smartwatch, patients will be coached throughout the day to move within the ranges set by their healthcare provider.
This care module can easily be combined with coaching by a physiotherapist. In that case, the physiotherapist can set the optimal bandwidths and adjust them as needed. Through a smart algorithm, Viduet recognizes when the patient moves out of bandwidth for an extended period of time. Viduet can then also inform the physiotherapist in the desired manner so that the set bandwidths can be revised if necessary.
This care module enables a better understanding of the rehabilitation process of Long COVID patients and supports patients with Long COVID during their recovery.
Questionnaires are used to monitor progress and symptoms. Viduet makes trends in the progress of symptoms insightful for both patient and caregiver. In this way, caregiver and patient gain a better understanding of the rehabilitation process and a person-centered treatment plan can be determined.
Since optimal movement patterns can greatly enhance the rehabilitation process of Long COVID patients, it is recommended to combine this module with the use of the Activity Coach.
